Comfort.
I'm sick. There. I said it. My allergies never fail me around this time of year, when the summer weather slowly begins to fade and the fall weather gently glides in. And because Vegas has been stampeded with thunderstorms left and right the past few months, my allergies have come out to play all innings.
But nonetheless, I am happy. I am so content and whereas before I'd be a huge baby when I felt like crap, today I'm soaking up the comfort of letting my body catch back up with itself and letting it really rest.
Sometimes all the body needs is a full day of rest and relaxation and not trying too hard to do too many things. Regardless of my sickness, I am still keeping up with my resolutions and I think that makes any crappy feeling/day, not really feel as such.
My lovely man bought me some new pajamas from Target today, my ultimate favorite store, and I've been in them for about six hours now. :) Suffice to say, I'm in comfort heaven. If you've never heard of Gilligan & O'Malley's products, please do yourself a huge favor and visit your nearest Target sleepwear aisle. Everything, and I mean everything they sell is heavenly. Their sleepwear products make being sick seem like no big deal at all.
Today, when there is always something to be remembered, I don't forget about where our country was 12 years ago. I solely focus on all the good in my life right now and I celebrate that. I celebrate the comfort that surrounds me and although I know there is so much going on in the world and I am not naive about it, choosing the comfort, choosing the good still left in the world, betters me.
To comfort and knowing more and more that the beauty in my life, is always in the littlest of things.
Love. Always.
